Although COVID wiped out our big March Empty Shelter Project Mega Spay/Neuter event, we could not let the residents of Galveston County down. Empty Shelter Project-Galveston County was formed in September to continue the mission of providing free/low cost Spay neuter services to the underserved areas of Galveston County.  Under the nickname of ESP-GalCo, SAVE Rescue and Snip have partnered to open a temporary clinic to complete our promise of 500+ S/n from the March event. We will also be reaching out in areas of most need to add additional animals that need our services. Our first 5 events1 are in the books with 180 animals altered and out of the “baby making” business, 90 dogs and 90 cats. Our current location is at 4247 FM 1764. All surgeries are by APPOINTMENT ONLY. If you would like to get your animal fixed and are a low income resident of Galveston County, please email and we will let you know when appointments become available. If you would like to volunteer for the work that goes into an event like this, we need helpers for clean up after events, building surgical instrument packs, calling to remind about appointment and computer work. Again, email Galcofixurpet@ We are working to make these events safe for the client and the volunteers by wearing masks and social distancing
