On March 14th, in partnership with Animal Alliance, League City Pets Alive and SNIP of Texas-Low Cost Spay/Neuter clinic, S.A.V.E. Rescue will participate in bring The Empty Shelter project to Galveston County. Our aim is to vaccinate, spay/neuter and microchip approximately 500 pets for low income residents of Galveston County. TESP brings in equipment, veterinarians and medical techs, volunteers and sets up a fully equipped Spay/ neuter hospital on site. The event will be held at Hometown Heroes Park, 1001 East League City Parkway, League City. Please check for sign up dates for owned animals at the Empty Shelter Project Facebook page.
Want to participate and be part of the solution? What we need…..
- Volunteers to help set up on Friday March 13th from 1pm to about 8 pm.
- Volunteers to work the day of the event with shifts from 6 am to 11 pm. Must be 18 or over.
- Volunteers for breakdown and clean up Saturday evening 7 til 11 pm and to pack up Sunday morning.
- Individuals and businesses or organization willing to contribute to bring this event to Galveston County. The event costs approximately $35,000.00 to bring to the county. (A cost of about $70 per pet).
