SAVE Rescue and K-9 Angels have formed a new organization with the mission of reducing the homeless pet population through free spay/neuter clinics located in the areas or most need. We have purchased $120,000 of veterinary equipment to set up a 10 table “pop up” clinic for spay/neuter surgeries. Our clinics are MASH style and are located in underserved areas of the county to provide services for low income pet owners. In partnership with Houston PetSet and Friends of Harris County Shelter, our first clinic was held on July 15th. For the 2017 year, over 1100 animals were fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and examined. Many had never seen veterinarian before. Please check out our Facebook page for more pictures and video posts on the project.
